Have you had a different experience?

Not personally, just never heard or saw anyones as bad as Art says and I have seen plenty. I have a full exhaust from our local exhaust guru @Paul Bryant being coated as we speak. The company coating it guarantee's it for life and gives one free recoating if necessary. I don't expect any problems and unlike the other companies will redo if there are for free. Make sure whoever coats it coats inside and out...most do.

I've been using www.hpcoatings.co.nz for a number of years (15-20?) and not had one failure.
They do all my Rocket systems.

But what is the difference between the metal in the stock pipes compared to what you use? What are your thoughts on coating the stock pipe?

JET HOT is considered the best but I used others to no avail and most pipes came coated by the makers and didnt hold up either maybe they hold up better in the desert

Just thought I would throw this out here....

Has anyone considered having their stock exhaust exchange pipe ceramic coated. We all know that the cats are in the mufflers on the R3T and since I have a completely stock system, performance isn't a big deal. If money was no object I would replace the entire system, but it is, so I am looking for a way to reduce the heat the exchange pipe puts off.

Also, anyone consider having the stock header and exchange pipe ceramic coated?

I like the stainless pipes

Its one recoating over the life of the product. They call it lifetime...not me. I call it better than nothing! Nonetheless I am not aware of anyone else even giving one recoating.
