Carpenter Sidewinder Exhaust Installation - Help Needed I think

Paul, it's a piece that I make myself :D

There was over 500 hours development time in that "Oval to Round" transition piece.
Not only figuring out how to do it and achieving that, but also making the tooling to hold and machine it, . . . then like any development tool, making the tool is one thing, making it work is something else !

There were a lot of rejects !
The flange itself is Laser cut.

You always try to find the negatives to everything don't you?

That muffler wont't drag because it sets just as high as the TORS that was on there because I checked it!

I find that a lot of systems that are meant for the touring and roadster often look like they will drag when on the roadster just because of the different lines of the bike.

Sorry that I pissed off your sensitivities, Mully. :(
Twas just my constructive comments. I did state I liked the look and design of your system.
From your photo, it looked like the can hung low and outboard to me.
However, the photo doesn't show the SuperTrapp's relation to the rear axle.
FYI - I had to re-weld the CES connector to my muffler to get the can more inboard and inline with the rear axle so it wouldn't drag.
I merely call it as I see it, but shall take more care composing any future posts regarding you. :inlove

Well seems like the muffler can't stay in its current location anyway. After a confirmation from Paul I will have to either go back to TORS or move the muffler some in order to use the supplied mounting brackets of the SuperTrapp. Paul told me "Without this being supported the weight, along with vibrations etc will break the header at some stage." When I get time I will try to extend, mount the Supertrapp.

I really like the muffler. The back pressure and noise level can go from obnoxiously loud to very quite in a matter of minutes. I’m going to have it so I can mount either the TORS or SuperTrapp….. whichever I want to run. However the sound of the SuperTrapp is addicting and I believe I'm addicted.:D

blip I'm sorry for thrashing your thread. I posted a picture of Paul's workmanship and that was supposed to be it.

Have you resolved your header? Post some pictures when you get a chance after completion.
