Carpenter Racing (seriously considering the 240 hp upgrade package)

CARPENTER does a 7000 rev limit and the bikes make 240+ RWHP so no need to run the 9000 rev limit if you dont want they have two different setups to suit different riders

Interesting, I thought it was 9000 regardless of kit. Haven't really looked into it that much.

With the Touring it's problematic to find an exhaust system as well. And to get the kind of airflow through the exhaust you'd need for 240, you probably (?) wind up with quite a lot of noise, and I actually use my Touring to... well, do Touring.

I know I rode 30 miles with a pillow did not feel right though my butt told me so .
well I walked into the upholsterer shop and the man said " i am getting to it this week " after a month of stonewalling ..... I grabbed the seat and walked away 'enough of that s**t . I streched the original cover by baking it the kitchen oven and put it on the seat not a very professional job but while I wait for another opportunity to get it done , it will do
on the mechanical side everything is on and proper the neville camshafts , pistons ,and tensioner are mounted Just need a tuning already I can feel the ooomph!! as soon as I crack the throttle at basically any RPM

IMFASTTOO, YOU GET 44MPG WITH 250 HP , YOUR PULLING MY CHAIN?
Why did I get worse on just what I did?
Albertaduke, come up and see me I'll put on your seat for you I've been an upholster for over 35 years

I only get apx. 33 mpg on my Rocket and 24 when I get a wild hair. I have Jardines on rocket but I did a lot of grinding to come close to matching the exhaust ports. Not sure if all their headers come like mine, the welds were huge inside of all the exhaust tubes.

My Tune is Mr. Wayne Tripps and my rev limiter is set at 9000 rpms. Just don't miss a gear.....LOL Don't think a stock motor could stand much of that.

I would give both of my useless N*Ts to have a 240 Carpenter kit or Mr. Neville Goodies in my Ol'Rocket III. I would say that a drive in , drive out 240 kit would be way more reliable than the stock motor due to the precision and balance of the parts and the close tolerance of the head work.........Hint Hint....Art

I don't need a million dollars in the bank...........But I sure would love to have it

My +/-200 hp, 170 ft lbs tq Carpenterized R3 averages a steady 28 mpg, but I slap the throttle on the local hilly and twisty roads like she owes me money, so I recommend to the power-hungry curious folks here to just sing Stinky's anthem...

Stinky's Song
(As sung by Charlie Murphy)
I don't believe your pappy,
He may be rich but he ain't happy,
Tells you about work and you want to be him,
But when's the last time that you got to see him?
He works hard - Why?
So you can go out and buy,
A bunch of **** that you dont need,
Driven by your punk-ass hopes and greed,
That's why I say **** it!
For the first time in my life,
I'm finally free,
No mansion for me,
I say **** it!
No brand new Humvee,
I say **** it!
[girl] But, you'll get no *****.
**** it!
What you don't understand,
Is I make love to my hand,
So I don't need you honey,
I beat my *****like it owes me money.
That's right. I said **** it!

You know when you get right down to it I have never checked to see what kind of gas mileage I am getting out of the Rocket X. I really do not give a $hit. If I did care about gas mileage why would I have gone out and bought such a god $amn big motorcycle in the first place? I get gas everyday at the local gas station and only spend about $5.00 to $6.00 dollars. It is more or less a social visit at the small gas station in a small town. If I miss a day some of the locals will ask if I was OK or if I decided to take a day off. Reading some of the "one up you $rap" is funny to me. Especially when your talking about gas mileage on something like a Rocket. Just my two cents worth take it or leave it. (really do not care)

I notice the mileage, only because I have fuel much more often than on my other bikes. I have two supplemental fuel canisters I've never had to use.

I do track mine. I got the Touring to about 40 on my last long trip which was pure highway.

Stock my R3 averaged 33-34 mpg, after intake, exhaust, and tune it was 29-30. Since the 265 Carpenter kit it's usually 36. The best I've gotten was running 85-95 mph on the interstate for 2 tanks and got 37.5 mpg on both.
