Carpenter Drag Headers...Love em or Hate em!

I know I love the sound of the Carpenter pipes on @mexican 240 Carpenter bike. Made the ground vibrate next to me at every stoplight. Feel they would just be wasted on a stock bike like mine.
I doubt it would be a waste. I have the original Carp pipe (plus RX440, & a custom tune from Tommy Micelli) on my 06 with no motor work, and gained 50 hp over stock. I'd expect some impressive numbers from the 2500 with that pipe, a free breathing intake, and a custom tune from Tommy.

I would be game except for a big flaw in my eye which is the most forward pipe is squared off instead of one smooth radius like the other two. Just looks really off.

Yeah, it does look a little agricultural and 'hair curlers' galore!;):roll::roll:

Actually like the agricultural look of the old Carpenter pipes, many yearn for perfection with the smooth header pipes offered by others……….horses for coarses and all that!
What looks odd to me is that the silencer looks like it’s angled towards the road instead of horizontal or slightly upwards, just looks wrong to me.

Disclaimer: These headers are not for everyone!

Some of you may be offender by their unorthodox look. Others aghast that you have to ride with a heatshield strapped to your leg. And many will say that they look like **** or are too loud. The list of negative perspectives I’m sure is long.

I am an old drag racer from way back and I absolutely love them! These pipes are unquestionably a work of art. I love the thought that went into the fit, form and function. They perform as you would expect a highly tuned set of custom race headers to. They sound amazing…like a well-tuned sports car. That burble that a lot of folks complain about when they let off the throttle or during intense downshifting is only amplified and it sounds fantastic! The install was effortless (again what you would expect) in every way. I chose to run them with the natural stainless finish and let them develop the rich gold / brown patina that develops over time. For those of you that are contemplating adding any sort of extreme engine mods or forced induction, will require this type of free-flowing exhaust system to maximize performance.

So gents, as I said earlier, these pipes are not for everyone. Definitely not for the faint of heart and for the majority of folks. Very few of you will subject yourselves to the rigors of owning and riding a set of these bad-boys. But those of you that have the sack to do so will undoubtably love them as I do.

Last word: If you disagree with any of these comments, please do not buy them, you will only hate them. If what I have stated resonates with you…happy trails my friends!
Thanks for the share, brother! Some people are so stuck on how pretty the bike is [not just this one] and my thought is that I don't look at it while ridin', so sound/performance is more of a goal for me [after all, it IS a rocket!], which is all I care about when in the saddle. Let's hear 'em... clip would be awesome!

More details Lupe or I'll just think it's just an age thing.😂

I was cleaning the bike for the toy run, started it and let it warm up, as i was cleaning around the engine i felt air coming out of somewhere, i slowly passed my hand in front of the header and discovered the middle hole blowing out, the bike's hole not mine:oops::roll::roll:

How much do they cost?

I’d like to hear a good quality sound clip. I doubt they would be for me as your disclaimer is spot on. If I did want to turn my bike into a dedicated drag bike I’m sure I’d get them but I ride mine on the road and for full multi day rides.
Mel, on our next ride, if i'm riding the rocket, dont ride behind me, you will hate me:roll::roll:
