I drilled the megaphone and bolted it on. I used a part of the freedom baffle look at the post on the top of the page you will see the original baffle and the part I am using.
I like the sound. A little louder than the drilled out pipes at idle, and pretty loud when you crank on it. No louder than a HD with open pipes.
It feels much stronger now. It pulls so much faster all the way to redline. I doesn't choke at the top of the rpm range like with stock headers. Hopefully I'll have a dyno sheet to post before the weekend.
Is the tune one that Carpenter sent or a dyno tune on your bike?
Is the low end still good?
I intended to do a full 240 kit this winter but I really f'd up my shoulder in November. Hope to be ready to at least ride by April. At this point I couldn't even hold on to stock power. If I feel up to it later this summer I may go ahead and get Carpenters exhaust and be ready for the 240 kit next winter.
I have heard Scott's exhaust and it sounds great. I'm thinking stock compression with no boost might be a tad quieter.
I have the PCV with AT running Hanso's AF tables. Low end feels stronger. At 20 mph when I'd twist the throttle it would raise the front end some, then climb as it hit the powerband. Now it jumps straight up way faster than before. I'll have to relearn how to ride wheelies with it.
