Carpener exhaust baffles/end caps

Steel, thanks for taking time to answer. I really wondered if some low end might be lost with just the exhaust. I'm glad it isn't.

I also like to unpolished look, that's the way I plan to go. I'm thinking of wrapping the exhaust too to help keep the heat down.
Are those heat shields from Carpenter?

Have fun relearning how to ride wheelies, I'm sure it won't take long.

Is the tune one that Carpenter sent or a dyno tune on your bike?

Is the low end still good?

I intended to do a full 240 kit this winter but I really f'd up my shoulder in November. Hope to be ready to at least ride by April. At this point I couldn't even hold on to stock power. If I feel up to it later this summer I may go ahead and get Carpenters exhaust and be ready for the 240 kit next winter.

I have heard Scott's exhaust and it sounds great. I'm thinking stock compression with no boost might be a tad quieter.

I'm sure that you are going to enjoy it.
Hey Bud what did you do to your shoulder?

No problem bro. That's what being part of a forum is about, helping each other.
Yes Carpenter sent heat shields, and Warp had sent me some just in case too.

Hey Bud what did you do to your shoulder?

Totally ripped out the rotator cuff and the bicep, tore out over half the labrum, tore every ligament. After surgery my surgeon said that he really enjoyed doing my shoulder, not the typical rotator cuffs he does every Thursday. He said mine was a real challenge, also it was the worst he'd seen.

Screwed it up November 26th. Surgery December 19th. Doc and physical therapist say 6 months to near full movement, 12 months for full strength. They say if I build muscle back too fast, I'll just tear it out again. On the bright side, my employer is working with me. Gave me an office job ordering tools and spending their money.

My physical therapist says I should have enough movement to ride again by April. I'm planning a trip home early April hoping for good enough weather in IL to ride at that time. If you're available maybe we could do that river run.

My bike has 28,500 miles. I'm going to change plugs and check valve clearance. Hoping valve clearance is good enough for one more season. Absolutely, positively sending the head and cams to Carpenter next winter.

Yours sounds like mine except I did not tear a musle but had to have a steel plate and 6 screws installed. Listen to the rehab you don't want to push it so far that they have to go back in a couple times liek me. I spent 3 times under the knife. Never got back to where I was before the accident but I have to be honest it is better then if they did not rebuild it. I am looking for another bike in case mine is still down preparing for the Ohio mile which I am thinking if giving a try. (against the wifey's opinion but fortunatley she will be across the pond when that happens :))

I am going to make this heals as good as possible the first time. Scott, I will check my schedule and let you when I'll be in IL.
Maybe it will work out so we can ride.

What do you need to do to the Beast to get ready for the Texas Mile?

Just got back from an 8hr run down south, entered a local car/bike show, and easily won the loudest bike using 'Shorty', my stock standard '13 roadster, with the non baffled Carp brute pipe@ 6000 rpm . I didn't know mine had won till my partner told me. My ears were still 'ringing'. Drowned out most of the v8 cars as well, she said.Proceeds went to the cancer foundation.
