Yup, I had a Ford Escort for a spare vehicle I sold a couple of years ago, only 2000cc.

has anyone used a car sports muffler on a R3. was thinking of a ss cannon connected with a ss pipe to the headers. would it work

I once used "Cherry Bomb".

My 2005 had a Hooker muffler on it when I bought it. A hillbilly 3 to 1 setup. No tune that I know of. Sounded like crap decel popped like a cannon. First thing I did was slap on Jardines and a PC and got it tuned. Often wonder now if I had just went with the PC and got it tuned how it would have ran.

I'm going to do it anyway it will set me back less the $100Australia. it will be fun to try

this is a genuine question basically we have rocket 3 a high performance car engine right. so what would be the issue putting a high performance stainless steel sports muffler. after all it is posted in the dark side

I was thinking more along the lines of a high performance tractor motor, I guess a pair of exhaust stacks could work.

If you have PCV with AT then you can keep experimenting and the bike will keep retuning to the new setup.
