Can't figure out the scam

It's an old and well known scam to anyone who's every tried to sell a bike online. Not sure how it works but generally untraceable things get charged to your credit card. They ask first for your paypal address but then will "need" your password because they're "serving on a ship" or something like that. There have been warnings on bike sale web sites in Australia about it.

this in person, what's the PayPal email to send funds to in order for me to pay you ASAP."

Like I said, the first one was very similar. There has to be a scam here but I can't figure out how it works... Anybody?

Cheers

Jthree

It sounds like another identity theft scam. They are not really interested in the bike but will milk you for all the information about you they can get.

Decline the offer and move on is my advice sounds fishy to me

Oh I knew it was a scam from the start , I just couldn't figure out how it worked. With all that I've now read it makes perfect sense. Too bad we have to deal with scum like this.

If these *******s would put as much thought and energy into earning a living they wouldn't have to scam people. What a waste of oxygen.
