For Mike M, the comment on the more mpg due to HP was not a scientific one but only an observation as due to the "less power" on the R3T you are probably not doing the jack rabbit starts as much and or you are not accelerating as fast as you would/could with the standard or classic versions of the R3. Since you are probably riding it (the R3T) in a more "casual" manner I would assume that your overall mpg would be consistently higher than on the other R3 versions.
When I got the mileage I mentioned during the Nashville run I let the tank get pretty much to empty, but again I was doing between 80-90 mph. The speed was pretty steady and obviously once on the superslab there was not much stop and go riding as in the city.
Having said that my normal riding around town with some ocassional highway riding thrown in I get between 32 and 38.5 mpg.
