Can I make TORS louder? Removing the baffles?

Stock can be completely gutted and rebuilt with new straight thru pipe or with a cone as I did. It was so loud I made baffles that got the sound reasonable and sounds great also. (in my opinion) I also painted matte black with hi temp ceramic paint. So far so good. It is a big job to do. I cut both ends of the cans and removed all the baffles and the cat. Then welded a 16" cone inside. Much cooler Temps on the pipes themselves and with ramair got decent gains from a dyno tune. Hope that helps.
Ps. If I could afford a full system I would be installing it right now.

Here you go. It's loud and has a deep tone. However you can add or subtract discs to make it as loud or quite as needed. I just run it with out discs at all

By removing the TORS I lost a bunch of weight. Bike seems more responsive in the corners or it as least seems that way.

I like my bike more now.

I took the pipe to a muffler shop and hand them open up the end to fit the header/manifold. Cut some notches in it so it would clamp to the header/manifold.

I have been contemplating doing exactly the same thing with my spare stockers . Can you post up some pics and maybe a sound clip ?
Is there anything you would have done differently with hindsight ?
I am considering shortening the cans also and chrome plating the finished pipes .

Really? You drill or remove the baffles from a stock Harley exhaust all that you have done is screwed yourself. Loud but all you have done is destroyed horsepower and torque from your bike. Starting to learn about the ROCKET but apparently it is about the same. Tuned aftermarket exhaust systems are not cheap but than again you pay for performance no easy way out.:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

I had a sportster set done like that and I was happy. Got the harley sound for cheap and the bike had enough power for my ability level and commuting applications. Im happy with the R3 stock. Do not really need more power, just a note I can hear better at 70/80 cruise speeds. It looks like with the brit monster things are different.

Cut them shorter by 200 mm and put a pipe inside around the perforated pipe, i have mine done sounds great.

I'm sorry but I'm having problems posting pics from my phone.
What I would do differently :

Been more careful clearing the insides of the pipes.

Tried a straight thru pipe at least 2 inch.

Gotten a better welder than I to weld it back up.

If you want to send me a pm with your phone number I can text you pics and videos.

Would it not just be easier - to get a set of Dave Platt's TRIUMPH ROCKET 3 ROADSTER OUTLAW SYSTEM | eBay
I hate messing with original parts as replacing them is EVEN MORE expensive.

I have my stock almost unused silencers wrapped and stored safely away just in case I have to put them back on one day if the bike goes to another owner the silencers go with it
