I have the Hagon Nitros rear shocks, When I bought them I got them 1" (ride Height) shorter.
Now that I am over all the peg scraping that I do... does anyone know if they can be lengthened? Probably by about 10mm.
Is there a Brisbane shop that can do this?
Thanks in advance

you would have to get longer shafts put in and just screw the springs tighter if you have enough thread, I'd get in touch with Hagon as they may have a kit or something to help

I woudn't go near the goose that sells the Hagons in Australia (mongoose or whatever he calls himself) maybe get onto the mob that sorted Ponters Wilbers out . Shockies are Shockies lets face it .. worth a go mate.

Quick question as to how much the one inch shorter rear shocks made? Since having both hips replaced last year I am having height issues with my 30 inch inseam. Seems the surgeon even managed to get my right leg 3/4 inch to short to make things worse. How much does it affect the handling in the twisties with the lower riding position on The Beast. Would like to get her a tad lower but hate to sacrifice handling.

It sux big!
Even the standard height drags the pegs continuously in the twisties.
My peg feelers have disappeared and the the peg ends are now shaved at an angle.
1) Don't lower your shocks - if anything go taller.
2) Don't go with a 130 front tire as it lowers things further and puts the peg mount bar in danger of dragging.
How do I know this? 1 crash, new plates and screws in left ankle and 3.5 months in a cast taken off two days ago . . . YEAH!

I had mine screwed down until they were as stiff as I could tolerate so, I am ordering a new set of Hagon Nitros a little taller.
Just my opinions based upon my experiences on the twisties of the Dragon, in Arkansaw and Alices Restaurant in CA.

PS: My inseam is 29 inches and flat feet on the ground is overrated :D

Thanks Steve, I appreciate the advice. Hope your healing process is coming along nicely!
Rolltide,
Thanks for the comments.
I be starting "physio" on Tuesday. I'm very excited about the ankle's progress so far. If I really had to I reckon I could now take a ride and shift with my left foot.
Lucky for me, the bike needs to be repaired first and I am assembling the needed parts. So, it will be awhile yet - no hurry as it's winter here and weather sux.

PS: Are you yet wondering how you ever had the time to work 40 hours a week???
Enjoy your first retarded Christmas!

I have 20mm over standard length Hagons and love them, I have to be really cranked right over to scrape anything now, no chicken strip on my rear tyre
