I have a 2014 Rocket 3 with 11000km on the clock. I went for a short ride to the local shopping centre with my son. When I parked up my son noticed that the side of the block was wet. I had a look sure enough the side of the block was covered in oil down past the front header all the way down to the sump.
When I had a closer look the tappet cover gasket has blown out just above the front header and is leaking athe oil.
Seems strange to me that some bikes have no issue with this at all, and yet it affects others.
Taking my bike to the dealers first thing in the morning and getting them to fix it. The bike is still under warranty so as far as I am concerned they will be sorting it for free.
Had to take the day off work as it is my daily ride........wonder if they would spring for the lost days wages maw haw haw
