I haven't posted in a while, but have to rant about something. My 2011 Rocket Roadster with only 7,000 miles ( I have several Bikes and I was sick for a while, so no need to comment on low miles ) Blew out its Cam Cover Gasket. From what I have been seeing, this is quite common. I tried to get Triumph to warranty it, knowing full well I was out of warranty by time. No Good. How many R3 riders have had this problem?? They should stand behind their product, this is a defect! Ahhh I feel better already! Even my primitive Harley didn't have problems till it hit 25,000 miles !

I replaced my cam cover gasket about 2 months ago. 2010 Roadster with about 12k, I noticed it was "Weeping" a bit right above the headers. I took a flashlight and followed it all the way around and noted it was in perfect condition and doing a good job except on the right side above the headers...it was all "Baked" looking and brittle. I can only assume that the material utilized for the gasket does not provide sufficient defense against the "Heat Monster."

The dealer's response was that it should be expected! -Doug

Had mine replaced under warranty about 3 months ago....needs to be replaced again already. Again its the header side of cyl #1
Yep mine popped when bike was 10 months old with only 35000 klm on it , same spot as yours , learnt how to fix it myself via the good people and their sound advice off here , had it apart 3 times till i got it right thanks to a tip from @Neville Lush

Its popped at the front of that bolt this time...I gave it the anally retentive once twice three times over in front of the dealer after he'd fixed it and was happy that it was 'perfectly' seated...might have to follow your lead and fix it myself this time.

Its just a guess on my behalf but i might start checking the bolts ever couple of oil changes

Went and picked up all the Gaskets, seals and O-rings at Dealer. Total cost just for these parts $115 Going to attempt this job myself. If anyone has and tips or pointers well appreciated!! Won't be till after next week 3 o-rings are on special order !
