The stock seats are designed to feel great in the showroom or a short test drive. I have a Corbin solo and dual seat and like them a lot. They don't feel cushy, but actually more comfortable for longer rides.
I should add about Corbin- despite the comfort of both seats on my Roadster you do need to be aware of the many complaints about Corbin seats on this forum. The solo on my Roadster fits so snug against the tank that it is wearing the clear coat. It came with the bike, so waiting on an excuse to paint something other than black and will change then. The twin seat is hard to bolt on, as the bracket doesn't line up perfectly with the seat.
I had a Corbin on a 900 Trophy that may as well have been carved from wood- terrible.
I wish Sargent made seats for the Rocket.
