Check this out:

On their website they offer the option of sending your ECU to them, or alternatively they sell a hand held unit for DIY tuning. Does this mean they've cracked the ECU code? Would this option be a good way to tune after adding an aftermarket exhaust?

Based on the website you can only mail in the ECU for 2025 models and the hand held unit is for 2024 and earlier years.
To me, the price seems pretty excessive for what is basically a canned tune. For my Indian scout, I was able to go through FM for half that price and get access to all their tunes and DJ tunes with a wide array of configurations. It seems to me that going direct to a tuning shop would be a better alternative for the Rocket but maybe I’m wrong. I didn’t have that luxury with my Scout as most shops don’t understand PV3 tuning at all.

Ah your right, looks like the DIY scan tool only works with the 2024 and older. So far this is the only shop that I've seen offering any kind of tuning for the 2025, as the ECU is supposedly encrypted, how they get around that is the question.

Just guessing I would say they probably reprogram the ecu as a 2024 with all the info of a 2024

The above is my personal motorcycle and I dont know the magic involved but it runs like striped ape.

I’ve no doubt that most any well developed canned tune is going to be a significant improvement over stock. Canned tunes have their limitations though as they are created on a different bike and developers have to be more cautious with the tables and fueling parameters to avoid running too lean or rich. If you can find a competent tuner in-house, they can dial in the AFR tables, balance out cylinder compression, and more and with wideband O2 sensors tune the bike both in open and closed loop operations.
Tuning isn’t just about hp and torque, it’s really about refining things for a much better ride and better overall experience.

I'd be interesting to see if the ecu can now be accessed by TuneECU scanning. If it has been reprogrammed as a 2024 unit then I'd assume TuneECU should now work.
like I say I dont know the technical aspects but I know he flashed the ecu and dyne tuned the Rocket and it will outrun my 2020 gt which had also been flashed but not dyno tuned.
