Bringing the front tire up.

I wondered about the timing in my new tune, with the stock I always ran 87 octane, since loading the new tune I run 89 minimum just to be safe.



Jesus, I thought the nanny state was getting bad in the US...
It is still a low compression motor it will run on low octane fuel, untill you raise the compression by changing out the pistons or start using a supercharger there is no need to change butr she will run on wharever you put in there
 
only saying, as there have been a few guy here and over site where they have had problems which turned out being caused by it and others that have mysterisly changed setting which required having to reset them

There's a lot of young bloke's and some not so young that have had their cars or bikes taken and sold for doing burnouts, drifting, wheelstands or drag racing at night in the local industrial estates. Worst is I have heard it's up to the individual police officer to determine what hooning is. I have heard of 1 person getting done for locking wheels up stopping at a red light and you don't have to be leaving rubber just squeeling tyres under acceleration will get you done.
 
I can get it up! I'm still young though :cool: So, I have the 2011 Roadster model with GI Pro, Power Commander V, K&N Triples (exposed), and a professional dyne tune. I'm also a Darksider, which makes pop-ups easier.
 
unintentional front tire up

i discovered a real easy way to get my 08 classic to lift the front wheel. get in 1st gear and at a mid revs, clutch out. the front end will compress from the weight being shifted to the front wheel if you use the front brake. as soon as the front suspension compresses, release the front brake and observe how the forks stretch out. as soon as you give it a little gas, or a lot, the front suspension will come up, and just time your throttle input to continue that upstroke of the front suspension. i did this by accident, but it's sorta fun. on the upstroke just whack the hell out of the throttle and she'll come right up.
 
o contraire ! The secondaries limit the useable power in the first three gears. One way around them is to set them to 100% open with tuneboy. You still get a little lag because they still close down at low speed and then have to open back up. A gipro does the same thing by fooling the bike into thinking it's in a higher gear. You can accomplish the same thing as a gipro with a 10 cent resister from radio shack only you won't have the nifty gear display. Taking them out unleashes the full potential of the engine. They're only function is to protect the unskilled. I took mine out and will let darwinism run it's coarse.
