For Sale Brand new Mustang seat

Is anyone interested in buying a basically brand new Mustang seat for the Rocket III Touring?? I will sell it at a deal as I need the money bad right now. It has only been used for a few hours and have taken it off of the bike to sell. It sits great and really adds a lot of lumbar support and puts you in a better riding position than the stock seat!! Please PM me if interested!!

According to Mustang's website, they have metal pans. Probably an easy mod to make that happen.

Actually, they list either 3/16" gloss coated marine fiberglass or a 16 gauge steel baseplate. The website doesn't list Triumph under either of those catagories... All of the metric bikes seem to have fiber, though, so I'd guess that's what it is.

Its hard saying as you have to spread the pan a little on the outside so it sits on the wider frame in the back. Speedy took the cover off one and shaped the foam a little with a 5 inch sanding disc, then put the cover back on. Man I am sorry I got to take his for a ride as it is one comfy seat :) I am wondering if one could do this mod to the dual touring seat for the R3T and if it also has riders back rest like the Classic touring?

It's a two piece seat, so depending on how you do it, you could put a 'riser' bracket on the frame to mount the seat to. If the height difference isn't significant, then you'd probably cover up the geometric change within the joint flexibility between the rider and pillon. I think it's a tongue-in-groove style joint. Or, if this pan is fiber, you could split out the wings and fill the gaps. Hell, the fiber may flex enough to just push it on. When I PM'd Big Head, he said that this one does not have the rider's backrest, but that the rear of the seat is good lumbar support. Mustang's site says it's about a 6" rise. For the price here, go for it!

If it would fit the Roadster I would most probably take it. Hate not seeing how it fits my butt though.

Ya he used a heat gun to reform the arcs on the seat pan right about where your hips are. Then he had to move the cable latch so he could use the key lock mount like the Classics have. I will opt for electronic release for ease of mounting. Anyway I must say it was a great fit for me.
