Brake Pads

I need new front brakes, any suggestions besides the OEM pads?

Word of caution, I put EBC Double-H on my other bike, yes, the braking power seemed like improved, but brakes squealed for like 2K miles before settling. Did a bedding procedure a number of times to no avail. Also, if the weather would be a bit wet, squealing would come back for that ride. These brakes have like a really hard surface.

PS: Is it true that one needs to take the rear wheel off to replace the rear brakes on the Rocket?

I know that OEM parts are generally more expensive than the adaptable ones but, from my experience on several motorcycles (HD, Ducati, Indian...) OEM pads are always the most efficient and have a longer life than others. That said, on Brembo calipers I would put Brembo pads at worst....

That's what I ordered from Revzilla and they're only $44 a pair but I don't want to deal with what you're talking about. In my experience the cheaper pads don't tear up rotors like the pricey ones do.

I have always used whatever means available to push the caliper pistons back but am considering getting a proper tool for the job. Any suggestions?

Thanks and ordered, when I first looked earlier I got way too many variations and prices, This is reasonable.

And because I love my Rocket I've decided to go for the Brembo OEM pads.
