Brake bleeder recommendation

Finally the answer I was seeking.
8mmX1.125 thread size
Gratitude!
Just FUI -
I found them less expensive and faster delivery on Amazon at $14 for two, including the shipping.

steve you confirm these above are the proper size for the rocket ??

Patrick - Get Stainless ones.

Whilst NOT spec, I use Dot5 (the silicone one) Fluid. I have done so in all my bikes since the early 80's. I know that you ABS'd guys cannot.

Russell Metric Speed Bleeders
Manufacturer Part Number R40527
J&P Part: ZZ24452

Russell Metric Speed Bleeders
• Has built-in check valve allowing fastest brake bleeding without help
• 8mm x 1.25

Well I'm a bit confused, considering all of the options in this thread.

If I understand correctly, the correct thread is 8 x 1.25 as in the above link.

Then connect the bleeder bag, remove M/C cover, open bleeder and start pumping, keeping the M/C near full to avoid air in system.

ONe question, using the speed bleeder allows you to leave them open while pumping the lever? Without the speed bleeders, the SOP would be to close the bleeder valve at each release of the lever to avoid air intrusion.

Do I have this correct?

thanks

You got it. I first used speedbleeders on my '01 Valkyrie way back in the day and then on my '09 Ultra and will now again on my Rocket. Mine have been the non-stainless type but thanks to this thread I'll shop for the stainless for the Rocket
