True I've never even laid eyes on a pair. Wasn't saying they weren't any good .. I was referring to the dual-sport looking white boots.
I have a pair of Ian Harold boots that look similar to yours , were made in Melbourne until a couple of years ago (Malaysia nowadays ) they are really comfortable walking/work boots but don't have the built-in ankle and shin protection.

yes ankle and shin protection are not as strong but nothing beats leather for longevity

Us confederate cavalry cowboys wear waterproof Georgia Boot Company Wellington style, well, this one does anyhow. Only boots I can put on brand new and wear at work or play all day.

Boots are like most things motorcycle, to each his own. It's my foots happiness in the end. I need spurs, something that spins and sings in the wind.

I know Red Wing is a good boot. Yes, my foot was measured. However, the boots hurt my toes. They never did fit right. I was put in a boot a size smaller than I normally wear. I am not knocking Red Wing just saying even if they measure, no guarantee it will fit. I should have told them no on the size. Operator's error on the measuring.

12 years 135,000+ miles and still going strong on my Red Wings!
I did add side zippers to them last year to ease my hip when putting them on.

I like my red wings, but I'll also swear by my pumas for riding! Truly waterproof out of the box, yet breathable and comfortable as heck walking around the villages and castle hills.
