Blown radiator hose

Blew the radiator hose yesterday. Phone call the shop, none available in Australia ( 4 week wait on back order) OEM hose is taperd 24mm on one end 19mm at the other. Visit to local auto shop and found similar shaped 21mm hose. Made to fit a 1967-1973 Hillman Hunter, at least its British i guess ha ha.

At least the old Hillmans were good for something, now this is called using your nokin instead of complaining ,crying and *****ing about Triumph horny TomCat fixed the problem until the new part reaches his wee island.

So you found the leak then TC, it must have been spraying it back to the other smaller hose. I use to own a Hillman back when I was a lad, they didn't corner well as I found out.

Just fitted the Hillman hose,been for a blat down the street..not leaking $7 fix and more importantly bike is back on the road. We've got our Freedom Run tommorow, if weather gods are on our side should have a couple hundred bikes ( and probably just as many coppers.. ha ha) Didnt want to miss the run !!!!!!

It was the Hillman Minx also known as the Humber 80 that I had and it had a 1625cc engine. That was in New Zealand.

Yes, I had a Hillman Hunter Royal with the alloy donk in 1725cc. At the time I thought it was great ??
