Radiator Cap Fitting

Hi,

Recently I lost the Radiator Cover Cap of my Rocket 3R 2020.

I ordered this part (T2100859) which is with a screw and without the fitting grover like the previous one.

This new Cap is not fitting properly. I need to ask if I need to order T2101083 (Cover, RAD Filler, MLDG) also.

Make sure the set screw is backed out enough and not dragging. It's a pitiful design.

Cheap ass design. I don't understand why they have those flimsy, wimpy, cheap caps. It goes along with the pissy horn I guess.

The only vehicle I've ever owned that needed a Phillip's screwdriver to check the radiator level.

Hello did the stainless cap come with the little black screw? And yes you need the black plastic molding to make it latch on.

I lost mine too. So, did you figure it out, or did you have to also order the black plastic collar it attaches to (if so, a redesign)? I need to know before I order.

You definitely need the black plastic collar, else it won’t ‘latch’ on and it is truly an absolute nightmare to put on without breaking the pins and having to get another collar. Whoever made this design at Triumph should be fired and never be allowed to work in the industry again,..

Recently lost my cap as well after doing a coolant flush. After some back and forth trying to figure out part numbers (with the originals being discontinued) triumph dealer informed me its available as a kit now that includes the cap and the molding and everything else T2101174 Filler Cap Cover Kit.
