Blowing in the wind - the need for a revised kickstand

When I get back from traveling I plan on parking her on firm ground and leaning over until I get the desired angle - mark the line level with the ground. That should give the amount to cut/grind and the angle of the cut or pretty close.

...simply by putting the Bridgestone Exedra Max 55 profile on the rear....
I would talk to Bridgestone first, to see if they approve putting that tire on, they didn't on my 08 r3t

Ive had it on two previous Rockets...no problems...16000kms on each...and there are many others who have also it or still have it on their bikes...your Touring takes a different width tire than the Roadster...these are 240 wide.

Just stating what they told me, " they do not sell a tire for the rocket,", if in question I would call, I was told, he didn't say particular year's, but I would check being if it did have a failure you have a good chance of not being able to talk about it. But if you say you know it is written down somewhere, ie: a manual, within Triumph or Bridgestone, than yes, I guess you have a point. Not arguing with you, just not for sure who is right. I bought my bike used last year and it came with a Bridgestone exedra Max radial in the rear and a Metzler me 888 bias in the front, the guy gave me a new bias exedra Max for the front and I tried to get a exedra max bias for the back, which they don't make that size in the Max, so I called Bridgestone to match and that's what they told me, called triumph and they recommended the Metzler me888 or Avon chrome's.
But not sure if he meant just my model and year, if I get time I'll make the call for clarification here, I know a lot of guys like them, but I know my back tire doesn't lockup as easy as the exedra, I bought a matching set of Metzler me 888's R. And haven't locked up the back tire yet. But even then if Bridgestone say's no I'm sure it's for insurance/warranty reason mainly. Any specific Year 240 tire you want me to ask???
Wish you luck with them, keep it up, and enjoy, GL

As long the tyre is the correct speed rating & fits on the rim correctly not to big for the rim you shouldn’t have any problems

I would guess if you're triumph dealership will install it, it must be okay I guess, I would think.
All I know when I bought the used bike had a Metzler bias on the front and Bridgestone radial on the back, thought that was weird, I always heard you shouldn't mix tire's, especially different plys steel belted and nylon belted you get a totally different flex in the overall tire, from sidewall to face, and I couldn't match the rear with the Brand new bias Bridgestone exedra max front tire I had, the only tire they had in I think the rear is a 180 16r, no bias, so I didn't use the Brand new front tire I had and sold it for $60 and paid the dealership about $900 for Metzler me888 radials installed, I think it was $550 for both tire's and was supposed to be, got quoted $150, but they said took longer than they expected, didn't realize it would take 5 minutes to take the bag's off???? I don't know, they wound up charging me $350 to install, I was going to do them myself but I couldn't balance them and at the time I didn't have the jack and they wanted $35 a piece to balance the wheels off the bike, I figured it was worth the $80 extra it would cost without the jack, Jack was about $100 that I have now, so for that I thought it was worth it to drop it off and have them do it, it took about 2.5 hour's, I think the mechanic was right handed, practicing to work with his left hand, and yeah I think it was a Monday!!! There has to be a better dealership, definitely going to give the only other one within nominal distance a try if I need to, hoping I don't need to, thanks to the help on here, it's been working out, thanks everyone that's helped me out, you know who you are, great people on hear, you can get a lot of information, like the early r3t touring models came stock with the exedra Max and they were recalled because they couldn't handle the weight and torque of the rocket's but yes they were the 150 16 front and 180 16 rear, don't know bias or radial, I read they were breaking down from the inside out, and I'm pretty sure it was the front???? That's all I know cause I read about the recall on here and really got concerned having been given the front tire that was an exedra Max, and I investigated more, all I know is I won't use them on my 08 r3t.
GL have a great day, keep it up!!! I've ad a flat with 2 up before but it wasn't an immediate blow out, a fast leak big hole in tube from dealership kinking the tube when install, was folded over when blown up and stayed there till it got hot and popped that caused the leak, fairly fast but not an immediate blowout, TG I noticed it was soft and looked back and saw it was flat before I went around the next curve. And just thinking about a blowout at highway speeds 70 mph is ot very comforting. I'd rather know that the tire was engineered tested for the weight and speeds that the tire a bike manufacturers recommend, I'm sure they know more than most people I know, and that makes me a little more comfortable, but hey anything can happen at any moment no matter how careful you are, but I try to keep it to a minimum, so far I haven't hit anything hard, the fastest I dropped one was about 25 mph around a turn I hit sand , but got back on no big damage, just road rash and some scratches on the bike, maybe broke a blinker, had another bike hit me from behind, but I had no way to avoid that idiot, a guy I used to ride with, guess he figured if he hit me he wouldn't get run over in the intersection, I fractured my foot, nothing happened to him, my side case fell on my foot . Try to stay away from idiots!!!

@Tal and I have already done it. Much improved handling (shortened rake) and better performing, long-lasting, less expensive tire.

Kickstand still too long though.
