Black Differential lube after 800 miles or Crooked Dealer?

Just to make it perfectly clear-- Triumph did NOT change the oil the dealership did. Most of the common jobs on the Rocket are simple to do so unless any Rocket rider is blind or has lost a couple of arms they really should be doing this stuff themselves. Get the workshop manual free from IDK call him at home night or day and buy a good quality torque wrench(and no Harbor Freight is not good quality)
 
Sears Craftsman now made in China isn't much better. Recently I bought a torque wrench to go up to 150 ft. lbs. for a special job on my Porsche. I had to torque 5 nuts. It broke on the 5th nut. All my older Craftsman tools are made in USA. I went shopping there last week for some new tools. EVERYTHING I touched said made in China. EVERYTHING !! I hate that Sears has switched to China made. I may as well buy hand tools at Harbor Freight for about 1/3 the Sears price. I guess I have to switch to Snap-On, Matco, Mac, or Cornwell, Et Al...

Ford has done it too. I told the parts man at the Ford dealer there is something wrong with the parts I ordered there last time. It says genuine Ford parts then made in China. That can't be right. I didn't take them.

Are you saying the dealer change the Final Drive fluid with a Black variant or that they did not change it?

I am trying to ascertain what 75W90 is black and what brand is it that is GL5 rated?

Makes some sense as I can not imaging how you would go from honey colored to black under and circumstances.

What say you?

The Tekton 1/2 10 to 150 lb is 39 dollars at Amazon and made in Taiwan..High ratings and you can get the lower range wrench for the same so you will have a set at 80 bucks.....

I am tempted to get a digital ...but they are to expensive to merit the payup. Just bought a hew Shoei Helmet so I will get the Tektons and take my chances.

Taiwan mfging is waaaay better than China IMO......

I use Castrol Syntrax universal Plus 75w-90 API GL-5 (not LS) as recommended in my Handbook, like my engine oil and filter I change it every 10,000 Klms always comes out honey coloured

BTW I have the same full mechanics chest of Sidchrome brand tools both AF and metric that I have had for 30 plus years and all still in nice condition along with 1/2 and 3/4 inch drive sockets and tension wrench all Sidchrome brand it pays to buy quality tools in the long run
 
Ya canna hand a man a grander spanner than a Sidchrome.
