Bigger Headers on 2.5

Exhaust pipes are hot, a lot of people don't seam to understand that concept.

Nothing will "reduce" the heat coming off a fire.
When people talk about "Hotting" an Engine up, that is eactly what happens, you increase the air/fuel you are going to increase the fire,.
The more fire you have, the "Hotter" it will be.
Fair enough, maybe the better worded question should have been to ask if the the design and shields protect your leg and calf from heat better than stock. When I rode home today it was 115F; I’m at my limit and I don’t think I can take adding even more heat lol.

Carpenter and Bryant headers do not come with heat shields. Naked pipes will let you feel all the heat if your legs get close to them. I like the Viking pipe on my Roadster and combined with the Lush motor components it is a very strong motor but it’s a hot SOB.

I wonder if some nice carbon fiber shields could be made to fit the Viking pipe and look something like what comes on the TFC?

I will be suppling Carbon fiber heat shields with this 2.5 pipe.
There is a "posibility" that heat shields may be made to suit the 2.3 pipe.

That’s sounds very nice guys but truthfully I’m afraid to change the stock look of my TFC. On my Roadster only power gain with an emphasis on low and midrange power as the goal I attained everything I desired. No cosmetic consideration was made. The bike is big, loud, hot, vulgar and scary with 203 at the wheel. I like it that way.

The new bike is pretty, slick, quick and sophisticated. I actually like having that much power with not a lot of heat and noise. I’m not sure I want to change it much,

yet.;)

only a unwise person ( pc) would touch a bolt on that TFC it is a masterpiece.
