Suspension is on the list. It's down on the list due to costs because even the mid-range performers like Progressive are at the pucker factor for cost, let alone stuff like Ohlin or Wilburs(Wilbers??) Anyways, I know stock suspension needs to be replaced, and I'll get to it. Eventually. Are we getting another stimulus?
72,000 miles of tires on my R3R, many tires!
The absolute best available today are the B-Stone Exedra Max 240/55R16 rear and Michellin Road 5 150/70R17 front. (NOT 150/60)
I have a PDF list of tires if you wish it.
Hi my name is Gordon and I’m wondering if the new Mitchellin Road 6 would be as good as the Road 5 reverse installation for my 2009 Rocket 111? I’m very close to renewing my tyres and I’m looking for change from Metzler and Avons. Thankyou in advance
The Road 6 tyres are not available in suitable sizes for the rocket
There are however the Crusetec that they fit on the R3 Storm - not tried them yet myself

Thankyou for that info but the Road 5 is being fazed out for the new Road 6 tyre in Australia, I will keep trying to get it but has anyone tried the Road 6 as it has a very different tread pattern! Thanks Gordon

Hi, just wondering if you can assist me, my inquiry is that here in Australia they have up graded the Michelin Road 5 to Michelin Road 6 tyre and the 5 is becoming hard to get, the 6 has a different tread pattern to the 5 which Leeds me to ask have you tried the 6 out as the front tyre (reversed) and if so is it suitable to replace the 5?
Thanks for your assistance Gordon

I have ran both & they exceptional tires on the Rocket 3. The 6 is supposedly improved some for the rain.
I can tell no difference . .
But then I don't hoon twisties in the rain. Try one and you'll not go back.
