The stats on skull injury during MC crash without helmet tells the story. View a few YouTubes on bike crashes and you will start wearing a decent helmet. These days even the HD crowd are wearing full face buckets. Stats about MC crashes due to CT use are non existent.

Basic wear... gloves, thick jeans, a jacket with body armor and decent riding shoes. I still see no helmet or even eye protection, shorts and flip flops on motorcycles. Slow down. Ahhhh and avoid riding on wet roads and at night. Just saying.

Or just go get in the old 5 star crash rated SUV and forget the whole motorcycle thing.

I have actually contemplated race wets for my Super Duke. But decided to try the Mich Road 5 and that is close enough for me.

Chicken strips could also mean you aren't being lazy and moving your body so as not to NEED to lean as much.
No chicken strips mean nothing, anyone can go to a parking lot and do low speed u turns for 10 minutes and scrub to the edges. Although, low speed maneuvers are harder than high speed cornering for some.

Please show me this, Anthony. :eek:
I am "anybody" and cannot do a max lean at low speed for ten minutes. :(
I doubt a max lean angle can be done at low parking lot speed because there is no countersteer to offset centripital forces.

I raced for years and had some crazy crashes that ruined the helmets I was wearing SO I always wear a helmet period .

I think you can get Max lean right before you hit the pavement. :roll::roll:

Here ya go. One of your fellow PacNWerners can teach you how to do A tight U turn.

And you conveniently left out this part of my post "Although, low speed maneuvers are harder than high speed cornering for some."

@WyldCFH Anthony,
Note the rider has shifted to the outside and is steering into the turn. He has not shifted inside and is not counter steering as needed in a normal curve.
Good vid about slow speed sharp turns BTW!

I never mentioned mechanics. I think we are both smart enough to know you have to change styles between fast and slow riding. But it is possible to lean far enough at slow speeds to remove the strips... If one really cares about them
