Hey guys, several of us have had issues with the Odyssey (sp?) batteries and have replaced them with a Scorpion. Mine worked great over the last winter. Was never left stranded like with the Odyssey.

It says that it is a Harley battery but it is the same size and has a little more CCA than the one they specify for the Rocket.

If you live in a cold climate, the Scorpion and a battery tender are the ticket.

I wasted my money on the PC625 and the optimizer charger,
and it would not crank below 40 degrees. I switched to the Scorpion,
and it cranks over when cold. But I do leave it on the Optimizer tender.

I see Hellfire has the 625 setup with no problem,
but many others, like me, had no-starts below 40 deg.
For the money, I'd get the Scorpion listed above.

I am going to have to agree withthe Scorpion battery above at 320 CCA it turns my Hogh compresion rocket withthe supercharger over like a mad man. I have not tried it in the cold yet but surley it will turn over a stock compression Rocket great in the winter. My other battery I have mated with the scorpion is 600 cca but at 500.00 bucks each it is very pricey.

jesse i sat idle for damm near an hour on the way to sturgis on 80 with no problem... Its your battery just reach in your pocket and buy the odyssey 545 and quit worrying ...... If you don't i am going to tell hellraiser to kick your a$$

I am getting a new battery after mine being dead at 4am after getting off work. Just ran it 10 hours earlier. Does the Scorpion need any mods? Looks like the size is a little different than the Oddessy.

My scorpion dropped right in my 06 Classic with no mods what so ever. Spins the motor over like a mad man

New Battery

I just replaced my battery in my 08 R3T on friday with a Deka battery..the YTX20LBSFT(?) or perhaps the DEKA M320BS(?)...anyway a little over $106 installed. The OEM held a charge but would not last more than 5-6 starts and then would "labor" when turning over..don't wish to be stranded..38 months and 35,554 miles on the OEM battery is good!I use a battery tender if not planning on rideing for a week or so>

Just hooked up the YTX20DHL Scorpion #65989-97B battery in a R3T. Fits good. It cranks faster than the OEM ever did. USPS shipped it but I was surprised that it was in my mailbox.
