Barnett clutch

been running a barnett clutch in my custom vtx for five years now with no problems whatsoever!

Not to upset you but in order to make a fair comparison between the Rocket and a VTX we would have to remove the plug wires in one cylinder. Unless you have found a way to increase the VTX to over 250 rwhp I think the MTC fibers will better suit the Rocket. In fact if you are not increasing the standar Rockets Horse Power the OEM fibers are just fine. but for $125.00 USD the MTC fibers are a great deal. I am not trying to kick Barrnet either just passing on information for Tomcat to form his own opinion.

Thanks that color Purple to Red is no longer available. So I plan on painting my other set of tins Silver to Green Kameleon Flip Flop.

Actually, although this is truly a beautiful and powerful Rocket...check out the GREEN MONSTER VTX, dude. 500 horse power and 500 foot pounds torque...would crush that R3 easily head-up. So...not all V-Twins bow to the Rocket!!!:D

well post some pictures of the green beast!!! It sounds impressive!!!! Whats the max rpm on her? If she won't pull 9000 rpms = 239.4 mph then all she will do is pull a three bottom plow :D

Check out Designed Performance for this incredible VTX!

Designed Performance

In the accompanying shots at the track the rider mis-shifted (and gear problems) so they don't have top 1/4 mile figures yet that I know of. I'm sure this monster is capable of well over 240mph however. Never underestimate other BIG V-Twins either. Some monster V's by Thug and S&S (among other huge S&S V-Twin clones) are well within range of a boosted R3 without benefit of a blower! :D

By the way, there ARE blower kits out now for the X that bring her up to and exceeding 200 ponies without much, if any, engine modification.

P.S. Not sure what clutch is in use however....

Yes kameleon Purple to red no longer available. I am going to paint my other tins silver to green. I am adding some more goodies to her right now but it still will be street legal. should be firing her up in a week or less depending on how lazy I am. Spring is coming so I am getting the urge to ride.

Ok Tomcat just to let you know I finished dialing my cams up tonight which was easy as ****!!! so I commenced replacing my stock clutch basket with the new MTC forged Billet clutch Basket.

Anyway just wanted to report that in 23,000 miles of running the MTC Fibers the old ones measure the same size as the new set I bought for no what seems to be no reason.

Now I ride my bike **** hard and I believe these are some fine Clutch fibers and the steels are in excellent condition. So If you order a set of them you will not regret it.

Blow is a shot of of one next to the Triumph OEM ones.
MTC on the Left and Triumph on the right.
Note the difference in the fiber surface area between them.
Some serious exrta meat there, sorry never heard of MTC is that there full name or an abrevation? Oh and I never seen a clear picy of ya bike before you got the Dupont Chromeilusion Purpleen paint that's awesome my 1999 Cannondale cross country MTB race bike had that paint took me 5 hours (normally 2 hour max with full race prep) to assemble the damm thing cos as it was coming on evening just had to stop and look at the diff colours coming out of it. then I got parniod about crashing when I found out the paint was worth $1,000 a litre AUS :eek:Dollar
