guys.. new in here.. and in dilemma to choose either 55403 CF or sh847..

cuz there's no strong proof to say its really an series type...

as i recall.. any code with SH is SCR SHUNT and FH is mosfet..

thank you

The SH847 is definitely Series
SH does not mean 'shunt'; the MOSFET units are also shunt & are FH***
Note that Shindengen also makes the SH775 - which is ALSO a Series unit - & also designated with SH prefix

I'm not sure what harness you're talking about .... is this actually for a Rocket, or for something else (I see you asked same question in a thread on the BARF forum)
But the SH847 uses same electrical connectors (Furukawa QLW) as the OEM R/R (FH012) on the Rocket.

O.k. I just ordered one from the 'metric bike' link, and will be a winter project for me. May not be so satisfying as a beta tester with my 3,000 miles since new, and canceled Maggie Valley run because of work. Still, the logic is sound, and I have a low tolerance -- having no facilities and limited bank account -- for removing the bike from the engine to do anything.

... guys.. wanna know.. has some one in here using brass bullet connector for their rectifier upgrading?

Again, I think this is for a non-Rocket application - the Rocket uses the same connectors for the SH847 as the OEM - so makes better sense to use the OEM connectors with the Shindengen device than have to remove them to accommodate the Compufire

For your application (whatever that might be) why not use the supplied WeatherPack connectors?

yup this is for my other bike project act.. 1000cc vtwin..

want a better firm connection.. am not really trust the weatherpack connector..

so wondering if brass bullet connector will hold the temperature..

i get this 55402 really cheap actually... thats why its in my hand now :)

Weatherpack connectors are excellent - note also that it will be conducting much less current than the comparable situation used with a Shunt R/R.
