Yours are wearing in the middle then whereas mine wear out on the edges. You must also like acceleration (why else own a Rocket?) and guessing you might downshift a lot too.
The best tire prices I've found are from Rocky Mountain ATV. Free shipping and I usually get them within 3 days.
That's probably a little bit why. The 1st set of tires I got for my nighthawk650 were shinko. I got about 6k out of them as a new rider. Switches to metzler and had about 10k before they were done. Same commute same riding style and weight.
You do get what you pay for.

Because the right tire won't wear as much. It's hard to get a 240 tire to do that though. Plenty of tires will get you higher milage. I mean .... If you are complaining about short lives tires. Get a better bike that takes normal tires that can go 10k to 15k no issues for commuting.
Seriously. I'm running the Avon and I'm at 8 with room to go.
You commuters sure know how to burn rubber. Does it not feel bad to see all that rubber on the sides just wasted?
I don't commute, I'm retired. I formerly lived in western NY, currently in Florida, in both places everywhere within 100 miles is a regular grid of straight flat roads. It's a big country, everyone doesn't live where you live, ya know?
