Avon Cobra Tyre Review

This was my "review" of the Avon Cobras - albeit it was in reference to the R3T.



I have 6K on my current set and they're not showing much, if any, wear. Should be good for at least 10K.

I run 40/40 cold.

All things considered - I think the Cobras are the absolute BEST tires you can run on the Touring.'

ksquard how the hell do you do 6k and no sign of wear i have 3k and its starting to go off may get another 1k may not i amrunning 40/42 cold most rides two up

Might one of my American brethren identify a recommended site for the Avon and Bridgestone tires in the correct (read 'stock') sizes for the R3T, please ?

I've fished around, and between the web sites' persnickety treatment of tire sizes, and my poor search skill, I'm coming up short.

You want 150/80R16 for stock size. They don't seem to have the WWW (whitewalls) there yet, they're new for this season, I had to look a long time. If whitewalls is a thing you'd like, that is.

The whitewalls are V-rated, ie higher speed than the ones up here that are H rated. Completely immaterial for an R3T, H is fine.
