Auxiliary brake light wiring question

When I had the wires matched up into the brake harness, and then I turned on the lights, the aux lights would flash brightly a few times, then static at regular intensity. .

Sounds like you have the running & brake wires swapped (or you connected the red to the Orange/Green instead of the Green/Purple)

BINGO! I connected the blue from the aux light to the red in the brake light harness and the red on the aux to the blue and all is well. Thank you gentlemen! I knew I'd find wisdom here!!

Post a picture of your new aux light. Her are mine.

Google Rodworx in Florida. The teardrop on the back are 39 Ford LED flush mounts with a nice chrome bezel. The side lights are the 3/4 inch round marker lights with stainless bezel. Both lights are duel light level for tail/turn/stop.

I was getting the link for the Gear Position Indicator* for a friend and came across this

Brake Light pro

Brake Light Pro

It's a programmable brake light Modulator - can be used with any lights, even OEM tail light.
I'm a 'fan' of Healtech products - they are quality manufacturer.

*(incidentally their DS series Gear Indicator is a really neat device and simple install, using info via the Diagnostic Connector)
