just got this back from HarleyRias, it is not exactly what I was thinking but her first impression, I still would like the abstract outline what do you guys think of this, she has asked feed back she actually has offered a discount because in our conservation I had mentioned that I was involved in the local Ulysses Branch
Hello Hans,

Here is a preview of your patch – it took a while to make it look good as the map of Oz is a difficult canvas to nicely fit images and words... I just could not fit the word “Owners” with the R3, but I reckon it’s safe to assume that only owners of R3s would wear these patches anyway. This looks good now and I will do it in royal blue similar to the Aussie flag.

Let me know what you think of it.... measures 75mm wide.
If you like this as it is the cost per patch is discounted from $10 to $9 per patch (The Ulysses connection benefit). If you think you might want at least 50, I can do a much better deal than that – just keep that in mind for future possible orders for any kind of patch J

Good to talk to you, hope to hear from you soon,

Cheers,

Ria J

I like it. I'd get ride of the "1st" and put a "1" after RDU - maybe in the Cape. Then shift the triangle to the left which leaves room for "owners" under it. If she can make the R3 look more like yours that would be good too. Any chance of getting the line under Triumph? But I like it!

What we need to do is end up with 3 designs, pick the best features of all 3 and by unanimous choice select the final product then get quoted for supply minimum 50.

Hanso no doubt will post one shortly looking good.

Cobba's mate has done a beauty as well, whilst the picture of the bike idea works well in print have it on good authority will not work as a sewn patch.

I was wondering if it was u, glad to see you here..........BTW a little more bling and a few more goodies on the Beast.........Dont ask ..........you will see:p:p:p

i was going through all the posts , what a great idea getting the elite Motorcycles together in one place. Congrats to the ones that are putting this together....

just thought i would help if i can , just put something together between printing...........

is this what you guys r looking for ???????? let me know and i can change around

G'day Cheeky Greeky could you please liaise with Hanso he has costed patch in draft form. Bike will not work as a sewn patch as it would be to small. Like the layout looks good.

Minus the bike looks good with the layout being the only difference with what Hanso combined with comments and ideas from other captains have come with.

Looking good Hanso, Cheeky Greek bit of a guru in layout area he has posted a design as well. have ask that he liaise with you. We already know pictures of bike no good in a sewn design.

I think between the two we will end up with a cracker patch, what do you think???

From this point on to make it easier for costing and formulating prospectus for promotion, accommodation, venues, rides etc will be based on 50 (rockets) motorcycles. Its a lot easier to increase things we need based on a definite confirmed participant increase.

By the end of next week I will have a draft fro the ride and event prospectus that I will be forwarding to local council, dealer, charity, etc.

Local council will be forward cost and insurance requirements fro use of any council land or property.

we will definitely need a $10 million public liability insurance cost about $350 plus any local government registrations fees, permits etc. I have been assured that as this will be a non profit charity event these fees and permits will be kept to a minimal cost and requirement.

That's why I have decided to base any application or purchases on the minimum number of 50 we can always increase numbers.

Cathy is arranging to speak to the vintage triumph collectors in the local area to try and get them on board for a bike show display. I think the oldest Triumph we seen on display last year was a 1928 model, the old fella even road it to the display.

I've got doctors appointments for diabetes the next three days after that I will read all comments and ideas put forward. I will then put them in a prospectus to distribute to arrange promotion, sponsorship, costing, venues etc

oh no Guro, but ill take the compliment anyway......look its hard to make decisions on these things i deal with this every day, being a painter and a part time printer, you get to see all sorts of designs all day.

i had a go at doing one in hanso's inspiration and look dont shoot the messenger ( in Advanced) im only trying to help

Just to let you know, my Designs are not sewn on , There printed on via sublimation on blank Patches, so you are not limited to what you want.

as per price i am willing do do them at cost.......no limit on purchaces

once a Design is decided on i can make a few samples and send them to you.

SOOOOOOOO we can have the Rocket on there

Hanso, is this what you are looking at , i can change at any time just let me know:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:

The big fella has got patches he has had for years and even though they may fade the stitching doesn't degrade, we were wondering what the durability is like with this sort of a patch.

I need to know this as he can get a bit under the weather and end up sleeping on the ground or where ever he may fall and guess who gets to clean him up..... (psst don't tell him I told ya)

I have someone from other forum that has glued one on the rear of his seat, and trust me that his bike is in the rain , sun, and what ever the weather may be and has not faded ............

I can send one up to you , please put it through the wash , leave it out side .....its always good to know .........
