Firstly a Big Thank You to MRS BIG MARTY for the link to HarleyRias Patches, A Loverly Ladies Pleasant to talk to... to keep it short .. She has NO setup fee, No minimum order and happy to play with my drawing and then send a mock up of what it will look like So I will send her the drawing with Annual and Inaugral gone and I thought muster wasn't nessasary so it is gone but I have inserted the word Triumph which was lacking, she will no doubt move things around a little to make it all fit together.
I am going to send this picture unless anybody has a sensible (Richard) change they want to suggest:)

Thank you very much Hanso, I thought this lady would be good. I'm not a fan of shopping on the net as I've been stung a couple of times, but after a couple of emails I gave her a go and yep she's the real deal. I do think she will help us to know end for any patches we may need in the future.

As far as the Mrs bit when I woke up this morning and had the morning pee I still had all the boy bits.:D:D:D:D:D

I don't think I'm being a pedantic prick by saying that for a stylised map it has overemphasised the Margaret River area. I believe a sensible suggestion is that you remove that bump (bottom corner of WA) from the outline - unless you're going to include other 'bumps' around the country.

You Have got to pulling My leg that's like leaving Tassie off!!!, being an Ex Westralian I can tell you they are very fond of the "Pigs Nose" and You might notice that I drew a little Frazer Island at the Hervey Bay spot as will I any other localation that puts it hand Up at this stage I am hoping WA will put thier hand up for the next one and the area round the Pigs Nose is some of the best of the state:cool: And it is an Abstract map not a Stlyised map:rolleyes: You might Also Notice there are other Bumps around the coast line on the eastern side in relation to localities there as I have up top around Broome and Exmouth .... Hang on may I should take the point of QLD and the hump in the NT where Darwin is.....

I certaily Hope So to all 4

Sorry Hanso and Mrs Marty. I didn't realise you were going ahead with it straight away.
Sent a message to a mate yesterday asking if he'd be interested in doing a design/quote for us as well.

He's actually a member of this forum as well but due to work commitments doesn't get in here that often.
I've actually given him a heads up about the rally as well hoping he might come anong as well.
He just got back and is more than happy to have a play with what we're doing too.

Hope that's not stepping on anyones toes but he also does Teeshirts, stubbie holders and decal/stickers plus a lot more, (tee's and stubbie holders from Port 2011 were his work) so would be handy to have if we decided to go that way with a show bag type thing as well.

I can get back to him and tell him not to worry about it if you want to stick with the one quote.

Cheers.

Been thinking about routes. That's ROUTES guys; grow up. ;) I know it's a long way off but it might help some guys' decision to go if they can see how doable it is.

Given that it's a long ride we don't really want to piss fart around and back-track and stuff so maybe something like this works for us southerners. Not meaning to leave anyone out but using a few names to illustrate.

Day 1. Ponters leaves Melbourne, picks up Cobber at Wodonga and they spend first night at Gundagai. 505 km (170 for Cobber) or add 100km and stay at Yass.

Day 2. Ponters and Cobber head to Muswellbrook via Cowra, Bathurst. 530km from Gundagai (via Cootamundra) or 485 km from Yass.

Kiwi and I head to Muswellbrook via Campbelltown and Penrith. 515km

Hanso heads to Muswellbrook via Kangaroo Valley (lucky bastard) 520km, meeting up with me and Kiwi at Bowral or Campbelltown on the way. Or he can meet us in Goulburn adding 45km to his trip.

Day 3. We all head to Warwick 570km via Tamworth, Armidale, Tenterfield and meet up with TC, Mitch, Bruce, Binnsy, BigAl etc

Day 4. Look out Hervey Bay 454 km

Day 2 could be longer and Day 3 shorter if we stay at Tamworth (156km from Muswellbrook). Willow Tree is roughly in the middle of the two.

Anyone coming from the west could probably aim to hook up with us around Muswellbrook/Tamworth unless you fancy going through Broken Hill, Cobar or Bourke.

Those along the way can join up or "go their own way". Anyway, just food for thought. We could knock a day off and do it in bigger chunks of around 750km but I'll be more inclined to do that on the way home.

Nothing is decided just the general idea concept of what we would like to see you could always send him my drawing and see what he thinks he could come up with compred to what HarleyRias offering and we can decide from there if they are both working from the same concept one might come up with somthing Perfect both in looks and cost I personally think the look is every bit as important as price:)
