okidoki, here we go........love the idea of Hanso, about the abstract outline of australia:cool::cool::cool:

I reckon it looks quite good too.
Still reckon it should be a proper map myself but happy to go with whatever the majority decide is the right look.

Not real sure about the picture of the Rocket on there either TBH.
I think we all know what sorta bikes we ride:rolleyes: and don't want it to be too busy.
Plus it brings in the argument about red or black.

Benny. Thanks for you're time and talent in knocking these ideas up for us.
I know how busy you are in your life and apprieciate you taking the time to do it.
You're a good man.

Cheers.

Been thinking about routes. That's ROUTES guys; grow up. ;) I know it's a long way off but it might help some guys' decision to go if they can see how doable it is.

Given that it's a long ride we don't really want to piss fart around and back-track and stuff so maybe something like this works for us southerners. Not meaning to leave anyone out but using a few names to illustrate.

Day 1. Ponters leaves Melbourne, picks up Cobber at Wodonga and they spend first night at Gundagai. 505 km (170 for Cobber) or add 100km and stay at Yass.

Day 2. Ponters and Cobber head to Muswellbrook via Cowra, Bathurst. 530km from Gundagai (via Cootamundra) or 485 km from Yass.

Kiwi and I head to Muswellbrook via Campbelltown and Penrith. 515km

Hanso heads to Muswellbrook via Kangaroo Valley (lucky bastard) 520km, meeting up with me and Kiwi at Bowral or Campbelltown on the way. Or he can meet us in Goulburn adding 45km to his trip.

Day 3. We all head to Warwick 570km via Tamworth, Armidale, Tenterfield and meet up with TC, Mitch, Bruce, Binnsy, BigAl etc

Day 4. Look out Hervey Bay 454 km

Day 2 could be longer and Day 3 shorter if we stay at Tamworth (156km from Muswellbrook). Willow Tree is roughly in the middle of the two.

Anyone coming from the west could probably aim to hook up with us around Muswellbrook/Tamworth unless you fancy going through Broken Hill, Cobar or Bourke.

Those along the way can join up or "go their own way". Anyway, just food for thought. We could knock a day off and do it in bigger chunks of around 750km but I'll be more inclined to do that on the way home.
I will meet as I stated before at Goulburn as even though it is 45klm longer it is actually a lot faster cos the mtn pases into Kangeroo Vally and then out via Fitzroy Falls is phyiscally very demanding thru all the Hair pins, besides I reserve it for good scratching sessions one that I will take you on one of these days when you get down here as for the return trip I will be streching it out more to enjoy it more and I think Muswellbrook will be a better first day stop

I knda agree about the Bike what about a Target (red ring white ring with a black star as the bullseye) as the destination target and sorry Cobba But I love the abstract outline the real/proper outline would make it too formal and touristy

:D:D:D:D Didn't even notice till you mentioned it.

Hey Hanso. Can't reply to your PM as your mailbox is too full.
Opps a hazard of being popular  will fix...................................................

How about just a number, no star:confused:
It still shows the location and also where it is in order of events.
1st for Hervey Bay. 2nd for where ever next year.

Oh, and on that note. Where is next year???
I'm thinking maybe it should go to the next biggest state by rocket population, then on again.

I agree with Hanso (but don't tell him) about the outline. Get ride of the bike and put a small star, number or target - I don't really mind what. Great work Benny!

I like it. BUT there's a star missing from the Southern Cross. This isn't f*ckin' New Zealand! ;)

ok here we are,

if we can get the bases of the patch, the star, bike, target, naked women , as the point to the location ........this is just a few moves of the courser and its done ....

so if we can get a list of what else we would like on the patch i can get started with mods

i think we are close :D:D:D
