Apes anyone?

Same here.

I drink every day, and have for many years.

But I never drink while operating a boat or motorcycle, and never more than one with dinner if I have to drive a car.

I enjoy 1 or 2 rums with a yarn at a pub stop when out on the bike but make sure I stay legal. Not like my younger days in the Mountians around the Northern Rivers of NSW. Never could drive a car very well drunk or sober so I never have driven fast. On the other hand I probably did my fastest ever motorcycle riding with just the right amount of intoxication. Not enough and I was too cautious and too much and you crash. Trouble was knowing what the right amount was before your out there doing it.

For what it is worth I think anything higher than T bars is too High to be safe.
JMHO
Howdy Hanso....I was just wondering about that jacket in the thread. How would a fellow Rocketeer obtain such a fine piece of outerwear?

When I was young back in the fifties and early sixties I had many bikes with high bars. They handled just fine. I beat many guys on my Triumph with high bars who were riding Triumphs
with stock low bars over a road called Topanga Canyon that we used to race on. I remember always being told the my high bars were no good and stupid etc. Today I prefer the stock bars
on my newer bikes. I still have a couple of Harley choppers but now my preferred STYLE is low bars. If a guy wants to put some high bars on a Rocket 3 I say do it and see how you like
them. The bike will handle just fine. Here is a picture of a bike I have been working on for a little over a year, its almost ready to start.

Sweet looking ride you've got there. Is this a frame up rebuild?
