Anyone see this on exhaust?

Not had this problem. Polished-up mine (headers & mufflers) and it'

s come up great. Tarnishes a little when run hot for a while, but nothing a few mins of elbow grease & Solvol wont return to its gleaming finish...
Hi! Your Rocket looks mint!
I could not help noticing the jack under the beast. What kind of jack is that? I have been looking for central stands (to lift the real wheel - easier for cleaning).
Cheers.

Advertised on Ebay. Great piece of kit. Lovely build quality & works a treat. Bit more pricey than some, but you get what you pay for, right. Will lift the entire bike easily, so you can clean both wheels at the same time; Motorcycle Scissor Lift XL for Triumph Rocket III Roadster red Hydraulic Jack | eBay

I keep getting back spots on the headers, usually something that has melted, some debris or a dead insect or piece of splattered tar from the asphalt... disappears in to the ether once back up to temp a few times... those headers do get very hot!... saves buffing.. although those pipes a few posts above from Flubbyman do look lush... love a bit of chrome effect highly polished surface... I'd have to do all the brushed parts to match my OCD tendancies
I keep getting them as well! Have no idea why they happen and steel wool changes the finish on the satin finished headers. Easy Off Oven cleaner, left on for 24 hours seems to do the trick but the problem recurs!

I’m convinced that it is charred insect parts. The bike get insect guts all over the front but on the pipe they get cooked on.

Nope....Insects don't know whether I'm riding my Ducati, Indian or R3 GT. There is also no thickness to the marks.
