Anyone have the R3 just shut off while riding?

I supplied a 2 x pdm60 keyless kit to a Sprint owner Steve, and eliminated his fuse panel completely - i also added a fuseless single channel solid-state constant power source (of my own design) to supply the keyless module power
I'll take a look at Rocket schematic to see how it might pan out

AWESOME, Amigo!
BTW - What would you recommend (1st, 2nd & 3rd) for a battery in the Roadster?

looks like the experts is not answering so i will give it a try.
it seems like on the new bikes most of them stop that after they have been driven a while and some of them the dealers have reset the tps and idle control motor and then they were fine.
on the earlier models they can use the tunecu and raise the idle.
u r probably going to have questions and may be the other guys will give u a hand
i am not real good at explaining.

But you sure be good at doping stuff out, Herman.
Sadly, my talents are the reverse. :(

Same problem with the one I bought. Engine would just die while downshifting. The bike was hard to shift before first oil change and clutch cable adjustment. So the idea of hitting the kickstand while shifting could have been the problem. Have not had any issues with the bike since then. The only Problem we have with the bike is parking it. All I want to do is ride it.

while sitting with eng running in 1st gear clutch in start moving the kickstand down till the engine shuts off. mine was about half way down . to far down to move while shifting. or going over bumps.

Kick stand theory is bunk I had same problem with the touring model, which has floor boards. Dealer made some adjustments and 6000 miles later has never stalled again.

Woah... Mine is a pre owned '08 with only 10,000km mileage. Thought was me not clutching in in time and the engine stalled... So it's actually a problem although not often. Only happened to me twice while riding everyday for almost 2 months.

have you got TuneECU software and cable check which version tune you have if it is a 20050 then send me a conversation with your email address and I will send you a updated tune, if it is a later tune 20227 or 20228 then do the "adjust ISCV" function on the "Tests" page

I recall this happening 2 or 3 times when I had my 2013 R3T. It was early on in my ownership and I don't remember how many miles I had on my bike when it happened. It can be a little freaky when it suddenly dies and not something you want to have to deal with. I remember thinking "what the heck just happened...did I kill it", but I hit the starter and it took off again. I will say, as many have said, the problem resolved itself after I got more miles on the bike and it never happened again after that.

So far so good on my new 2015 and I just did the 500 mile service myself. I also put the PowerTripp tune on shortly after I got the bike home, reset the adaptic and did the 12 minute tune. We have had some nice temperatures here in Michigan making for a cool weather break in. The bike is running great "knock on wood" with no sudden dying episodes. Hopefully, it won't happen with this newer bike, but if holds true to form....it will go away as I get more miles on the bike. That seems to be the best fix. Maybe the ECU has some kind of a learning curve with a few hiccups thrown in for good measure. My 2 cents.

Have about 6K on my 2016 and it still happens to me on occasion. Happened twice yesterday actually for the first time in probably 1k miles. Always on the down shift, I think it is an air/fuel issue with ECU and it tricks the bike into thinking basically a stall. It is definitely electronic, I'm thinking the stock tune has gotta go....waiting for warranty to die first considering the major tranny issue I had already before I go swapping pipes and airboxes.
