Nitrous
Gday
I had my bike seemingly randomly cut out when I got it. It was nearly new. Had been parked up for a few years so was out of warranty but only had 1000km (600miles on it). Called the guy I got it off and he'd had it back to the shop with same fault. They'd replaced the radiator and temp sensor under warranty he then fell off the bike in his driveway and got trapped under it for a couple of hours, his wife and daughter found him. He then parked it and never rode it again. He eventually put the bike on Trademe (like ebay) for $1 reserve price which ended up with me owning it (but not for a dollar sadly) and inheriting the fault that was thought to be fixed. .
The frustrating and intermittent fault turned out to be the computer plug incorrectly assembled and the temperature pin was not contacting properly in the computer. Engine and temp light would come on, bike would just cut out. Recently it has just happened again, the motors got oil and not hot but bike cuts out. Temp fault shows, fiddle with the plug and fault goes away.
