Anyone go to the Darkside?

Decided to get a salvage rim with another Michelin Commander 2 on it with 50% tread left and Darkside the rim on the bike with a Bridgestone Run Flat that way if I have any issues the bike will only be down 30 minutes for complete rim swap.
Like KMRMIKE said, I will always wonder unless I try it. If I don't then I have another rim to mount MC tire on and have at the ready.
$200 on eBay, guaranteed to be a straight rim and tire balanced out to Zero. To me it's a no brainier.

That main thing is you will probably have to play with the tire pressure to get ur sweet spot I think I had mine around 28 psi

Do it. Then you will understand. Great for mileage, poor for turns. You will find yourself throwing the bike into turns. Do what you want

Good video but not much help, in the video before he goes through the wall section he asks what tire pressure you think he is running then he states they're specially designed tires for this event anyway.
But still very impressive.

Like it, love it, want more of it... had the same dark side for over 20,000 miles and it still looks new, handles just as good as my other Rocket with bike tire. I’ve ridden up/down the East Coast, from Upstate New York to Southern Florida, and the back roads of Virginia and North Carolina. I would recommend NOT getting a run-flat tyre. They have very stiff sidewalls, and are heavier. I strongly suspect that you will dislike them intensely.

The Run Flat has been mentioned a lot in Darkside posts, Goldwing & Valkyrie forums as well as a few R3T owners on other sites.
They state the stiffer sidewalls and beveled tread edge gives them the ride and handling others do not.
Obviously it all depends on riding styles and preferences but just based on numbers, the Bridgestone was mentioned and liked the most.
I am still open for other suggestions as I do not get the rim until next Friday so plan on buying the tire after that.
