Amazing how fast the last bit of tire leaves.

Was looking at my tire a couple of weeks ago and thought I better order a new one. It arrived 2 days ago but I thought I still had 500 miles to go before it was time to replace. Well I left the house this morning, checked the tire and hit the road. Did a few errands and stopped for lunch. Came out and guess what I saw?
CORDS, man it really disgusts me they will not make a motorcyle tire that can get 20 thousnand miles. Why do I have to buy 2, 3, or 4 tires in one riding season. This is a touring bike. A heavy motorcycle that could stop a lot quicker if it had better traction on the back. These tire manufacturers should be made to make a better longer lasting tire. Make a tire that has the same componds as a car tire . with the same amount of surface value. Lets see how many miles that kind of tire would last.

Your complaining and you have the skinny tyre on the rear, wear depends on a few things, quality of tyre, weight of rider, road conditions(do they have paved roads in Canada) now just wait the supreme beings will be along in a minute telling you to go darkside and never replace the tyre again, I had a car tyre on for 12000miles and went back to the MC tyre for one simple reason-------I can.

My tourer stock front is shot at less than 4K miles. I like the canyons too much.

You need Michelin commander ll tires way nice, life, handling, and ride.

HEY whats the point you have to remove the rear wheel every 10000 miles anyway to lube the drive shaft splines

They can put a man on the moon, or kill someone half the world away with a drone, run flat tires dont need air, why cant they make a touring tire to go 20 thousand miles. I could put a car tire on but I prefer round on my motorcycle tire. However a car tire does stop quicker. Really when you think about a touring bike, riding two up and packed for a longhaul trip are motorcycle tires really designed for that type of weight. Maybe a car tire would be better.

I've been riding on bridgesrone excedra max tires. I use to run the commander ll. I think the tires would last longer on gravel roads here in Canada and we even have some dirt roads. Its late and I'm tired. Probable should go to bed. Goodnight all.
