I have 9925mi on my bike since last February, a 3 day weekend, all the bits and pieces for the job and thanks to folks in this forum access to the knowledge on how to go about this. I am changing spark plugs and changing final drive oil as well though that is not on the schedule. Getting up close and personal with one's machine is an essential part of the bonding process and now that I have my EazyRizer lift and wheel chok I can actually work on the bike with it being level and get to everything including removing the wheels. Having a searchable service manual so I can print out any sections I need is invaluable and many thanks to the person who made that available.

Hast thou not pondered whether thy ceaseless devotion to the Rocket doth imperil its glory—mayhap dulling its splendor through relentless use? Imagine instead securing it within thy garage’s noble sanctuary, preserved immaculate and unblemished, eternally youthful, a peerless symbol of mechanical virtue. Reserved henceforth only for life's gravest rites and joyous feasts—births, funerals, and occasions of momentous import—when to mount the Rocket is no mere ride, but rather an exalted proclamation of status, a majestic assertion of unmatched strength and refinement.

What's your bike lift set-up? Do you have the original red or the Big Blue and is any adaptor kit required for the Rocket as it has no frame rails to lift off?
(Sorry if this has been covered before).

I need a lift for mine so I can remove both wheels myself. I won't be doing my own servicing as yet because mine's still under warranty, but I'd like to be able to lift it off the ground for cleaning, lubing and general maintenance.

I have the big blue with frame rails that are adjusted to a certain mesaurement for the rocket, it's very stable. Mine is stil under warranty as well but I'm not paying the dealer $1,100 for a service I can do myself.

After successfully removing the tank without dropping it I managed to get the air filter replaced and I must say I have never felt a sense of accomplishment over what is usually the simplest of tasks. With the battery removed I placed a small board across the seat area with a piece of that indestructible packing sheet foam, slid the tank back onto it and that gave me enough access to the electrical connector from the front. I was able to hold the front of the tank so it wouldn't rest on the ABS lines and easily unplug that connector. Fuel filter is next tomorrow as well as the spark plugs.

Doesnt need big blue lift at all, Big blue lift hinders from going around the bike from other side, best is the center jack stand, 2 of them or just one from a very good company is enough.

The angle of the upright on big blue provides more than enough space for access on the right side. Yes it's more than absolutely necessary but I like it and I don't have room for a table.
