All the bits have now arrived, last bit (the free flow 1 - 2) came in from Oz today. Looking forward to grazed knuckles, swearing, losing screws, swearing, not being able to find that spanner i know i've got, swearing etc.....

TORS, Free flow crossover, RAM Air kit, PC5, Secondary throttle plates to be removed as well. If all goes to plan then off to Race Engineering Dynojet centre down the road.

TORS and free flow cross over fitted last night, all went well. Crossover from Motexpro in OZ fits really well, Ramair to be fitted tonight and PC5 time allowing. Pics to follow

Exhaust parts were a doddle to fit, I reused the down pipe gasket as I didnt have a new one with a bit of careful prising out with a thin screwdriver. I love my garage, roomy, good ventilation and well lit.

I have Tors but no crossover , how much difference would it make in sound and HP if any ?

Hi Wrecka, I'm gonna take my original fitment to work and cut it open to see whats in it. It looks restrictive, over engineered, costly to make and pointless. My TORS and new crossover is deep and boomy tone, it will be hard to tell what the crossover alone will make as the RAM Air and PCV are fitted.

Ramair was relatively easy to fit, the existing airbox pieces came out fine. Long reach ball end allen keys are a must, mechanics rubber gloves will help when fitting the filter as once you get that sticky filter oil on you it sticks to everything else you touch. Getting it seated on the throttle bodies properly takes patience.

Removing the secondary throttle plates was a doddle, 2 screws in each, no washers, took couple of minutes.

With the air box plumbing out the way the PCV became easy to fit, the hardest part was the location of the crank position sensor plug and trying to refit the small triangular left hand side plastic cover. The sensor plugs are on a small metal frame and was quite fiddly.

The exhaust mods took me 2 hours, the Ramair and PCV took 3 hours. All can be done on your own and the hardest part of all of it was trying to refit the bloody bear claw, still dont look right now.

When you cut the old cross over pipe open I think your gonna be disappointed cos it is empty on the roadsters as the catalytic converters are in the mufflers.

'kinell. That's the first time I've seen a photo of the ABS box - Thank god mine is pre-ABS.

And hat's off if you worked with screws, nuts, washers on gravel.

ACF50 - Purveyors of fine hand care products for practical physicists. RamAir goo (it's not oil) does not stick to it. Of course it can be a bit awkward to grip anything else - but.......
