I relocated the coolant tank to under seat when I installed triple k and n filters. My sensor is just ziptied and inside a little filter right in front of the first k and n filter. Are you having problems with the idle after switching from ramair to k and n's?
I just followed this post to figure out what the heck you guys are messing with, now I know and won’t mess with it.

Don't want to hijack the thread -- my missus has made tea for me several times a day since before we were married 26 years ago - much of that loose tea using - you guessed it - a tea strainer.

Tea available to anyone who visits. :)
Would never consider banter as hijack. It's one of the reasons this site is so awesome ! Now back to tea . Was going to say be wary of having Clint round for tea . He's been spending too much time in the gym ! :D

Not messing, just experimenting with. The best methods of increasing the air intake is either the K&N filters X 3 or the RamAir module. Horses for courses using either method..Glad you enjoyed the light hearted banter :whitstling::thumbsup::thumbsup:

As close as possible to clean air. Without an extension, that’s gonna be tough.

I found having the sensor in the filter made the bike run weird when it was hot. At least until you ride for a bit. I opted to install in a small filter with an extension attached to the throttle bodies out in the wind.

I got the smal H&N and simply ordered the Ram air ext cable...bout $15 inc post.

Hey Nath...i wish ide read this b4 we talked this morning but...
I did the exact thing you have done!...Had Ramair and went to triple k&n's.
The good thing is you have that extension. I got a small filter to cover the end of the sensor from a car accessory shop. Its just to protect the bulb on the end. I used zip ties and placed the filter between the 2nd and 3rd k&n filters on that rod there. To me, that was getting the air temp that the filters were sucking in.
It works a treat for me. I have a photo and you can see the small blue filter.

I just zip tied to a filter...works ( with the cover/ filter)

Update ! Now I am an AIT expert , ( ex as in Hasbeen and spurt as in drip under pressure ) ? I have murdered the AIT gremlins . Small breather filter , (KnN pretender ) drilled out 30mm through the chromed cover , a 40mm disc of fine stainless tea strainer covering the hole from the inside and held firmly in place with a thick rubber washer .. AIT fitted inside and zip tied to the frame between 2 and 3 cylinders . Idle is perfect with no hunting or fluctuations , on a cold engine , a hot engine queuing in traffic for 20 mins . And a 10mile blast at no less than 145mph this evening . In fact apart from using 3 gallons a mile in fuel , the Torquemonster ran better than I have ever known ! Will post pictures tomorrow weather permitting . Went to a bike fest today , loads of R3s present , but can honestly say , none were a patch on mine . The tuner done good , even if he did look about 12 !

Mrs Doyle : You'll have some tea... are you sure you don't want any? Aw go on, you'll have some. Go on go on go on go on go on go on go on go on GO ON!

Mrs Doyle : There's always time for a nice cup of tea. Sure, didn't the Lord himself pause for a nice cup of tea before giving himself up for the world.

Father Ted : No, he didn't, Mrs Doyle!

Mrs Doyle : Well, whatever the equivalent they had for tea in those days, cake or something. And speaking of cake, I have cake!

[holds up a cupcake]

Father Ted : No, thanks, Mrs Doyle.

Mrs Doyle : Are you sure, Father? There's cocaine in it!

Father Ted : WHAT?

Mrs Doyle : Oh, no, not cocaine. God, what am I on about. No, what d'you call them. Raisins.
