Hey Everyone,

I'm having a bit of an issue. I had a bad back injury last year and fractured 3 vertebrae. Ever since then I have pain in my lower back, hips, etc.. after about 45 minutes of riding. I already have an upgraded seat but wondering if having the option of moving my feet to mid for a while will help alleviate some pressure off my spine. I don't want to do full mids as I like having the option to change positions. I've seen a couple folks do it but I'm not certain what parts exactly I need to buy. I don't believe there's an aftermarket option. It's kind of my last ditch effort before I sell/trade it for something else. Thanks!

My friend and took out and test drove both the GT and R for this exact reason. We are both in our mid 50’s and have lower back issues and both ride sports tourers. We both liked the GT’s swept back handle bars and slightly lower seating position, which has you sitting more up right, but it was the R’s mid mount pegs which we loved. They are very comfortable, and you can stand up on them to adjust your position or when going over large numbs; near impossible to stand up on the GT’s. When I ordered my GT I had a set of the black mid mount pegs installed which look great.

I've seen it before where someone had forward controls and also just the pegs in mid. I would just like to know what to order to make it happen. Unfortunately, this bike has near zero aftermarket support after 5 years which is frustrating as you have to buy everything in pieces from Triumph for $$$

I interested in this too Has anybody done it that can share part numbers and a few pictures thanks

I have mids on my GT and it definitely reduce back issues. You are in an upright position like sitting on a chair. very natural and comfortable. Triumph sell it as a kit (you have to reuse your old peg rubbers). Triumph installed mine for free.
