Add me to the club - one less Rocket on the road

Yea, sorry I got going........
Don't be sorry! We are in more danger from these arseh*les than drunk drivers and the message isn't getting across. In Ontario there's a $500 fine for even touching your phone while driving yet every day I see countless morons talking or texting.
Glad you're ok Ted.

I don't want it repaired to be honest. There was enough energy in the crash to squash the tire flat against the wheel, and all that got transmitted thru the swing arm, driveshaft and into the gearbox no? How long until the thing self destructs and what if I'm hauling ass on it when it does? No thanks.
Send it to me - ill fix it......
Glad your ok mate - this is one of my fears is being rear ended by a phone user.

Tuesday evening, I was on my way to our weekly bike night and got rear ended by a young lady too busy texting to see slowing traffic. Got knocked off bike and went bouncing along the top of her car before taking a ride on the asphalt.

I was geared up so no road salsa, but did a number on my lower back from the impact. Up and walking but not sure the bike is going to be repairable. Any accident you walk away from is a good one?

Ted, glad to hear you are ok. Enjoy your next ride. Godspeed.

Mate - You are alive. And that's the key thing.

Don't get me going on cellphones. I do not OWN one. I am forced to have one by work but maybe not for long. I HOPE.
There was a time when having a cellphone was a badge of importance - but that has now changed. It is now the mark of being controlled.

Underinsured/underinsured . . . that coverage is critical. Looks like you got tagged by an idiot lowlife with scant insurance. Glad you are ok. It happened to me in 1990 when a van did a failure to yield and I hit him going 45. Like being shot out of a cannon. Ten days in the hospital. That extra coverage saved me.
