I have 2023 rocket 3 r. The front accessory plug is dead. Looking at wiring diagram, it shows the plug as live or switched. If mine is switched off, how do I switch it to live?

Remember that the Rocket has two "on" positions: click up once to enable the key detection and turn on the dash, click down once and release to fire up the ignition system and prime the fuel pump. Then you would pull in the clutch and hit down again to start. Lots of guys click up, then pull in the clutch and press down and hold, which pauses, primes then starts. I would imagine you would only get accessory power at the second stage, it's also the stage the bike needs to be in to talk to the ECU via the OBD for programming (as opposed to retrieving stats via OBD with the engine running).

The owners manual says the outlet is permanently live. But mine is only live when bike is powered up. I wonder if their is a setting to change when it is live?

No, the manual has been wrong since day 1. The "permanent" power connection is the aux socket on the left side of the engine, if you have it installed.

Thanks, l will stop worrying about it and just enjoy this machine. Working on a few mods— Puig wind screen, IXIL exhaust and quick shifter👍
