About to go Dark Side for first time

Pics of front as requested (and rear).

Note: I ran my previous DS front (Michelin Pilot Road 2) backwards and did not like the squirmy feel. (remounted it forward)
Now that I like. Hmmmm. As my next rear will also be Michelin - well "they's be a watching pair officer!"
This is NOT a cheap tyre - BUT.....

When did that tire go on sale? I am partial to Michelin.
I searched for a symmetric tread Michelin for the back and found nothing in 225/55 16,
but I have not looked recently

The Avid Envigor handles very well, rolls right over ;-)

I think it may be quite new - it's currently being advertised on TV.

Sorry this may be somewhere else in the thread but I like the look of that Michelin, may I have the name and details of it? think it will be my next DS tire.

Friends also going dark-side at present and will send him the details too, currently running a Hankook Ventura I have been very happy with.

Thanks in advance

225/55R16 - is W speed rated and available 95 load or 99Xtra Load (for the super lard butts).

So I've put about 500 miles on my car tire now. I'm very happy with it so far but today I ran it up to about 125mph, at about 115mph the back end got a little "bouncy", a little strange feeling. I never went to that speed while I still had the bike tire on it, Is this a common characteristic of dark side tire or with the R3 itself?

its probably the combination of the car tire and the road surface causing it. Unless of course you did not balance it or add balancing beads that could cause it to bounce also.
I did 500 on mine and decided it was not for me. Good luck though!!!

I don't often run up to those speeds, but when I have I have never noticed anything odd with my darkside, was well planted on the road, is your suspension stock?

If I understand past responses when people have a problem with a car tyre on their bike it's usually due to the wrong pressure or you haven't given it enough time to get used to it or someone else has fitted it incorrectly or perhaps you were holding your head at the wrong angle. It's NEVER because you're using an inappropriate piece of equipment, so go wash your mouth out.
