Took the bike out yesterday and was really disappointed with the new tire. I was not happy with the way it handled at all. Checked the air pressure in the rear tire and it was at 42 psi. Front tire was at 32 psi (Avon Cobra) Dropped the rear tire down to 31 psi and added air to the front. Now at 31 psi rear and 37 psi front the bike handles fine. Around town I can feel the square tire very much but on the highway it is one smooth ride. After going a little over 100 miles I am happy with it. Did do one hard take off from a traffic light and ways amazed, so was the Harley Rider

Tyre Pressures do make a big difference, if you don't mind me asking how heavy are you, I am 250lb (113kg) and find that 28 to 30 is a good pressure and I bump it up to 32 when I have missus and/or trailer on I run a Federal (245/50/16 this my third and love DS) car tyre will try a (225/55/16 next time as getting the big son of a bi#ch in there is a pain) I also find that 43 to 45 is a good front tire pressure I run a Dunlop Elite 3 in a standard size (150/80/17)on the front if this helps great but experiment with your pressures.

Around 240 lbs. I rode to work today which was nice considering it has been about three weeks since the bike was down. Smooth riding on the highway. Even let go of the handlebars for a few seconds,no shakes at all. I do not know if I am just weird but the hole bike seems to be running with a lot less vibration around 70 to 80 MPH. The Avon is OK but I am going to see if I can get a Michelin commander two for the front. Run Michelin's on the Harley and works out rather well. Odd I was thinking on the way home this morning about adding a pound or two up front just to see what results. Have no regrets running the DS vice a regular tire. Most of my riding is done on open roads with very mild turns. Very happy with the final product.

Just think Mexican are twin cams are now dinosaurs. Harley has done it again and changed to a new motor, Two spark plugs four valves per cylinder. Single cam runs it all. They also increase the cubic inch to I believe 107, 110, and offer a 115. I would not want to be one of the first to own the new design. I still remember all the problems with the introduction of the Twin Cam motor. EPA standards forced the change. No horse Power ratings but they say over all increase of about 10% torque. Still not even close to a Rocket.
